Another Successful Macmillan Day

SLS Laboratory Show - Another Great Success!

Thank you to everyone that attended the SLS Laboratory Show 2016 at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Wednesday 25th May. The show was attended by over 1000 technicians and scientists from 20 countries making this year’s show the biggest and best to date. 

With support from all of the leading manufacturers present including brands such as Pyrex, 3B, Motic, Ohaus, Nickel-Electro, Hanna and Simax as well as the 2016 addition of the School Zone we were able to ensure that the event was a huge success. 

We look forward to seeing you again in 2018!

Top International Lab Show Supports Science Technicians

Organisers of a major international Laboratory Show and Conference on 25th May are backing the campaign to encourage greater take-up of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects in schools and colleges. Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS) and the Science Council have built the School Zone into the one-day event in Nottingham to assist science teachers and laboratory technicians in curriculum design and delivery.

New 2016-17 Catalogue - Out Now!

The new catalogue is out now with several exciting new developments having been made, the most notable of which being a smaller size to making it easier to browse without sacrificing either the text or product image sizes. New curriculum based sections for Physics, Biology and Chemistry are also included with quick-find tabs running down the side of each page. In addition, the front cover has been extended to incorporate a bookmark which lists page references for popular product sections. The History of the Laboratory in Ten Objects

Organisers of the biennial Scientific Laboratory Show & Conference to be held in Nottingham this May have launched a campaign to chronicle the ‘History of the Laboratory in Ten Objects’. Anyone with a passion for science can nominate the object they feel has had the greatest impact on lab-based scientific research over the last 200 years.

Now Recruiting: Territory Sales Representative - North of England

SLS Select Education require an experienced Territory Sales Representative for the North of England region, specifically the M62 corridor and above including Cumbria and the North East of England. You will be the face of the company selling a broad range of science products and services to schools and colleges in the region.

Experience or knowledge of school science products is highly desirable and so this role may suit a candidate with experience of working as a science technician. Ideally you will have prior sales experience but we are open to candidates looking for a first role in field sales. Commercial, technical and communication skills are all key to this role.
