Designed to detect fluctuating magnetic fields comprising of a 3,200 turn coil mounted in a Perspex handle and is terminated with 4mm stackable plugs. In use, the search coil acts as the secondary of a transformer to detect fluctuating magnetic fields. Can be used to measure field strength and shape and may also be used to demonstrate transformer action. The search coil is designed to be connected to either an oscilloscope or a 200 mV a.c meter (or multimeter).
