Magnetic latent print powders are very similar to standard powders, but they contain iron which adheres to a magnet. Use a magnetic powder applicator, dip it into the jar of magnetic powder, the magnetic in the end of the applicator picks up the powder and it becomes a "brush".When the fingerprint dusting is finished, move the magnetic applicator over the mouth of the jar, lift the end of the applicator to release the powder from the magnet allowing the powder to drop back into the jar.
Magnetic powder is recommended for use in dusting glossy papers, tissue paper, rough or polished wood, leather, plastics, glass, and rubber.
