The Lascells Advanced Timer is a millisecond resolution timing device with a clear 4-digit display, designed for accurate and reliable measurements across a wide range of Physics experiments. Engineered to remove the usual setup complexity associated with light gates/dataloggers, it enables quick, straightforward configuration, as a stand-alone system.
- Four selectable timing modes provide flexibility:
- Mode 1 uses a single gate
- Mode 2 measures between two gates
- Mode 3 (′Triple Time′) displays gate times and total transit time (crucial for the calculation of acceleration, as needed for the study of Newton’s Second Law)
- Mode 4 (′Fence Mode′) uses a supplied picket fence to determine g by free fall
- Inputs include 3.5mm sockets for Lascells Timer Light Gates (S300-855A) and Reaction Timer (PY1050), and 4mm safety sockets, facilitating compatibility with Speed of Sound (PY3096) and g by Freefall (PY5078)
- Set includes the timer, picket fence, 2x Lascells light gates and power supply
