What areas do you cover?
Hi, I’m Julie, Territory Sales Manager for SLS Select Education for the north of England, from Barnsley to Berwick, Manchester to Middleborough and Hull to Hexham.
How long have you worked at SLS Select Education and what experience do you have?
I have worked at Select Education since 2019 although I have worked in sales for over 30yrs selling laboratory products from chemicals to centrifuges, power supplies to pooters and glasswashers to goggles.
What did you do before joining SLS Select Education?
I lived in Africa for over 20yrs where I completed my schooling and trained in Zimbabwe as a Biomedical Scientist, specialising in microbiology. I worked in the major hospitals, the University, where I helped set up the new Vet School and then for 5yrs worked in the Vet Research labs, running tests on everything from cheetahs to crocodiles, warthogs to wildebeest and eland to elephants. Despite my time on this wonderful continent, I have ophidiophobia!
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love watching tennis, doing quizzes (watch out for our quizzes on our website) and I am happiest when the sun is shining.
