This International Women’s Day, we’re highlighting the journey of Lauren Allcock, Customer & Sales Support Manager, whose dedication has helped shape the success of our Select Education division.
“I’ve been with SLS for 14 years, and my journey has been incredibly rewarding. I started as a Sales Order Processor, which gave me a real understanding of our customers and operations from the ground up. I was then given the opportunity to take on Select Education, a brand-new venture for SLS at the time — starting out as a team of one (me!). Growing it into the successful and established area it is today has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
From there, I progressed into a Team Leader role and later became a Manager. I now lead the Select Education team alongside two other teams within the business, and I truly love leading and guiding them — they are an incredible group of people who make my role so rewarding. I’m passionate about building strong teams, encouraging development, and continuously improving the service we deliver. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching people grow and knowing you’ve played a small part in that journey. Being part of an all-female leadership team makes it even more special, as we support and inspire each other every day."
