A dynamics track with cart. The track has flexible sections to allow slopes to be set up. The cart can be propelled by the launcher or stopped by it to measure impact energy. The cart can be propelled by a balloon. The cart has two weights in the form of steel rods. These allow the mass of the cart to be set in the rations 1:2:3 as the cart weighs the same as one rod.

The optical forks can measure the cart speed by connecting to the Chronotimer. This operates in a very simple time and reset mode using the single button. As a workbench for measuring the speed of sound in air or in the rail, using the microphones set up facing horizontally for air and vertically down onto the bench for the speed of sound in a solid.

The Chronotimer measures the time between microphone signals to allow measurement of the speed of sound. The Chronotimer measures to 0.1ms (.0001s).
