An innovative new development in science teaching. This little pad (100mm diameter) is designed to replace Bunsen burners in many situations. It is extremely handy if you are teaching in a room without a gas supply. The pad can reach a maximum temperature of 90 degrees C and is designed to heat beakers, conical flasks etc. It comes fitted with 1.5m of silicon cable and a mains plug. The unit is waterproof so there is no danger from splashes. The pad comes complete with a heatproof, ceramic mat to protect benches and table surfaces. Originally designed for Primary schools but is proving just as popular to Secondary schools!
Two versions of the unit are available: a mains powered version and a low voltage variant which requires a 12V 5A power pack.
