One key piece of feedback that we’ve received from many of you over the last 6 months was that we needed to increase the speed of delivery for our chemicals. 

In response to this, we have been working hard to upgrade the order processing systems within our chemicals warehouse and over the half term break we successfully tested and implemented a new system. As a result of this you 
should now be seeing standard orders for chemicals arriving 2-3 days faster 
than previously.

einstein™World – A New Exciting Range of Sensors and Activities

What is it? In short einstein™ is a new STEM solution that provides a sensor based science learning experience for children. It brings together datalogging, investigations and analysis on any tablet or PC. 

The einstein™ product range consists of an award winning Android einstein™Tablet with eight built in sensors plus the option to add up to eight additional sensors taken from a range of over 65 different units. For those of you who already have tablets in your school (including iPads) then there is the cost effective eight sensor LabMate™ interface which easily connects to your tablet via Bluetooth.

The software and apps are free to download and allow you all of the data collection and analysis tools you would expect.

That brings us on to the learning platform einstein™World – a huge bank of support and teaching resource. The einstein™World Activity Maker lets users create their own experiments including experimental method, pictures, animations and video. You can share your activities with the rest of the einstein™ community and conversely download other people’s experiments to use as templates in your own lessons.

New A-Level Practical – Microscopes and Graticules

You are probably aware that the curriculum for A-Level Biology is changing and as such there are new requirements for student microscopy practicals.

The newly prescribed practicals include the requirement for students to accurately use microscope graticules. We have come up with the following information to help you meet these new requirements.
